AMEC Publishing House
The AMEC Publishing House (Sunday School Union) is the Publishing House for the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Sunday School Union, founded in 1882 by Charles S. Smith, was established to promote Sunday School curriculum to students and teachers of African Methodism.
In addition to supplying church school materials that speak directly to our communities, the Sunday School Union is dedicated to offering a balance of bible-based products, curriculum, books, and artistically produced resources. Some of our work includes the Missionary Magazine, The AME Review, The Christian Recorder, The Journal of Christian Education, The Secret Chamber, The Voice of Missions, The YPD Gazette, and The YPD Handbook. Our office also prints General Conference material, Combined Minutes, Episcopal District Conference Guides, and souvenir journals.
The AMEC Publishing House continues to expand our ministry to meet the needs of the evolving world around us by delivering creative excellence. We are strengthened by our founding principles woven in our commitment to providing publication excellence. In our allegiance to our AMEC connectional community, we have associate bookstores around the country that carry our material. Stores are listed in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C
